Gary is a native Southern Californian, born in Anaheim and raised in Huntington Beach and Cerritos. The day after his Grad Nite at Disneyland, he started his training for his first job, which was as a busboy at Disneyland. He attended UC Irvine and graduated with a B.S. in Information and Computer Science. His first job out of college was as a software engineer at Rockwell International, where he worked on Space Shuttle support systems and Boeing 747-400 projects. After that, he has held jobs in various fields, including stock market, multimedia, property valuation, mortgage and medical device production. In 2001, he married his wife, Laura, who already had two teenage daughters and in 2003 they moved to Ladera Ranch. In 2013, Gary was elected to the Ladera Ranch Civic Council and served three two-year terms.
Gary’s parents were raised on farms in Kansas. His father, George, moved to California and became an electrical engineer and ended up working on Apollo, Space Shuttle and GPS projects with Rockwell International.
